Host Organization

FORCA - Forum of Civil Action Pozega - is a non-profit organization founded in July 1999, located in Pozega a town in west Serbia. Forca has been implementing projects for more than thirteen years and at the moment represents an organisation that is highly respected in Serbia and abroad.

 

Forca is active in community development, promotion of democracy and civil society, youth support and assistance to vulnerable groups. Founded by a group of young people, enthusiasts, who were dissatisfied with their position in society, the situation in their environment and the overall state of the country, but ready to tackle the problems and started to create a better future. Forca which now represents one of the backbone of the third sector in western Serbia. The organization now has seventeen members, eight permanent staff and hired a large number of temporary staff and volunteers.

In accordance with the mission of the organization FORCA has three courses of action as follows:

1. Development of civil society - as the basis for the development and enchancement of all segments of society.
2. The development of ecology and environmental awareness in the community.
3. Humanitarian ans social programs - necessary in the future to overcome the difficult social situation.
